Season far from over for Central Washington Wildcats

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The Central Washington Wildcats have come out of the gate an even 3-3, not exactly what they expected after a perfect regular season last year.

But Coach Blaine Bennett says if his teams cuts down on the mistakes, there is no reason they can't finish the season with 5 straight wins and take home another GNAC Title.

Another positive the Wildcats can put in their pocket is that they play 4 of their last 5 games in Ellensburg.

Coach Bennett likes his team's chances.

"We can still finish strong," said Bennett. "We can still make a good run at the GNAC championship and that's what our goal is. That's what our goal is every single year. We're not out of it yet. What we need to do is to continue to improve each and every week."

"Everyone is definitely disappointed," said quarterback Ryan Robertson. "Everyone definitely has a sour taste in their mouth but I think everyone is ready to go and finish out with 5 straight wins."
