Yakima neighbor chases burglary suspects; 3 arrested

NEAR TAMPICO, Wash. -- Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies say three suspects have been arrested after attempting to break into a house in the Tampico area Wednesday morning.

A neighbor tells KNDO he was taking out the garbage at 10:15 AM on the 2600 block of South Fork Road near Tampico, when he saw three males allegedly opening a window at his neighbor's house.

The witness says the suspects took off in a vehicle, he grabbed a gun followed them in his own car while on the phone with Sheriff's Deputies. He remained on the phone with officials who took over the pursuit. The chase ended when the suspects crashed into a field off of South 90th Ave. The suspects ran from the scene but were eventually caught.

The suspect vehicle, a black Ford Explorer has been impounded and apparently has stolen property in it. Investigators say one of the suspects is an adult, the other two are juveniles. All three are from the Yakima area and were booked into jail for residential burglary.
