EASTON, Wash. -- A Toppenish man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon when a semi truck in front of him rolled back into the front of his truck.
The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on Interstate 90 in the eastbound lanes, about nine miles west of Easton.
Washington State troopers say a semi truck rolled back into the semi truck driven by Michael Noel, 51, of Toppenish, pushing the first semi about 20 feet off the roadway before coming to a rest against a tree.
Troopers say Noel was taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital to be treated for injuries to his head. His current condition is not known at this time.
The driver of the semi truck that rolled into McDonald's truck was Dennis McDonald, 65, of Cle Elum, and troopers say he was not hurt.
Troopers say the accident was caused by failure to set brake.
Washington State Patrol say drugs and alcohol were not involved in this accident.
