KENNEWICK, WA- A Benton County jury will resume Monday hearing evidence in the trial of a woman charged with murder.
Phien Sisouvanh slumped forward in her chair Friday as the jury continued to listen to six hours of taped conversations of Sisouvanh explaining to detectives how she murdered a pregnant woman in Columbia Park and cut the woman's unborn child from the womb.
Sisouvanh has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity.
Her attorneys say Sisouvanh suffers from a mental disorder caused by caused by abuse and trauma that began as a child in Thailand and continued when her family moved to America.
The trial is expected to continue through next week.
