KENNEWICK, WA- The second week of testimony is underway in the trial of a woman charged with murder.
Prosecutor Andy Miller Monday rested his case against Phien Sisouvanh, accused of stabbing a pregnant woman and stealing the woman's unborn child.
The defense called to the stand Monday Sisouvanh's uncle.
Noy Sisouvanh described the harsh conditions at a refugee camp in Thailand where Sisouvanh was born before her family immigrated to the United States.
The defense argues Sisouvanh suffers from a mental disorder as a result of her early childhood.
Sisouvanh has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity.
