Multiple agencies investigate Roslyn overdose

Posted: Updated:

ROSLYN, Wash- Cle Elum Police met with Central Washington University Police and the Kittitas Sheriff's Office Monday morning to put together a multi-agency investigation team for the Roslyn overdoses.

Law enforcement continued interviewing witnesses and victims throughout the day.  CWU Police have lent interview space to the Cle Elum Police.  They say most of the 50 or so people at the party are students at Central Washington University.

Twelve students were taken to the hospital Friday night after being found unconscious or semi-conscious at a house party in Roslyn.  Eleven were women.  Police suspect that something was slipped into their drinks.

There is also a report of a sexual assault at that party.  Police took a young man into custody after they found him having sexual contact with a semi conscious female.  They later released him after determining the two were dating.  The young man may however still face charges.
