Distasteful email targets Rep. candidate, Strobel

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Someone has apparently hacked into the email of 14th Legislative District candidate, Michele Strobel's husband and sent out a series of stick-figure drawings titled "A Day in the Life of Michele Strobel."

The emails mocking the candidate were sent under Marc Strobel's account. Michele says a friend notified her after receiving the email which had been sent out to several businesses in Yakima.

"It's unfortunate that this campaign has come to something as ridiculous as this, and it's really quite pathetic," said Strobel.

Strobel's opponent in the upcoming November election, incumbent Representative Norm Johnson tells KNDO he feels terrible about this saying "it's the worst in politics" and assuring that NO campaign or members of his committee did this.

Strobel says she will continue campaigning and to look into who is behind the emails.
