Central Hoping to Peak at Right Time

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- In Ellensburg, it has been an up and down year so far for the Central Washington Wildcats.

But, the Cats hope they are hitting their stride at just the right time. Central heads to Qwest Field for the 2nd time this season on Saturday to take on Western Oregon in the Battle in Seattle.

Central has 4 conference games to close the season. The Wildcats are 4-3 on the season. Coach Blaine Bennett says the up and down year so far has not been from a lack of effort.

"Sometimes, it's scheduling," said Coach Blaine Bennett. " I don't think it's because we haven't played 2 0r 3 games consistently. It's really how the scheule fell. Hopefully, we can put a good run together now and win out in the GNAC. We have 4 games left on the schedule, all GNAC opponents so there is definite urgency."
