8th grader trading pumpkins for a trip to DC

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.—An 8th grade boy is trying to raise money for his class trip to Washington DC in the spring.

Devin Robinson, 8th grader at Desert Hills Middle School, was selling pumpkins at the Shell gas station on Clearwater.  The money will go toward his school trip to DC.  He says all 8th graders at the middle school are invited to the annual event.  They plan to see and checkout the US Treasury.

Robinson is trying to raise about $1,000.  He says if they don't sell all the pumpkins Sunday, they will be back at the Shell gas station next weekend.
