KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Whether you're worried about your kids' dental health or just bought too much candy for trick or treaters, the Halloween Candy Buy Back program can help. The program turns Halloween candy into cash and also helps support U.S. troops stationed overseas.
For every pound of Halloween candy you bring in, participating dentists will give your child a dollar.
Then they send the candy in care packages to troops serving in war zones.
Last year dentists in the Tri-Cities and Yakima gathered about 2,000 pounds of candy, and they'll be trying to do it again this year.
