KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A Benton County Judge has denied bail during the appeals process for a man convicted of child rape. Robert Trainor's attorney filed an appeal last month. Wednesday, she wanted the judge to release him on bail during the process. The judge said the law clearly states anyone convicted of child rape cannot be released during appeal.
Trainor was convicted of raping and molesting five young girls over a seven year period. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison. Trainor used to work at Hanford and was a volunteer Benton County fire captain.
