Science assembly at Eastgate Elementary

KENNEWICK, Wash.--Students at Eastgate Elementary School in Kennewick had an electrifying assembly Wednesday.

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry visited the school. The kids learned about static electricity, atoms and electrons, and things that conduct electricity.

"We want kids to know that science can be hands on and fun, and not just something you read about in a textbook," Says Outreach Educator Erik Anderson.

This was the first time the museum visited Eastgate, but they hope it's not the last.
