PASCO, Wash.—More than fifty people around the Tri-Cities area received help in becoming American citizens Saturday.
A group called OneAmerica puts on Citizenship Day a few times a year in various cities. They partner with lawyers to assist eligible legal permanent residents to become active members in our community.
The goal is to send clients off with a completed citizenship application by the end of the session.
OneAmerica employees say usually the biggest challenge for applicants is coming up with the funds to pay for the $670 application fee.
