Football season means big business for sports bars

KENNEWICK, Wash.— Football season usually means big business for sports bars.  KNDU wanted to know just how big.

Jack-sons Sport bar in Kennewick says they have seen a 75% increase in customers since the football season started.  During the off-season they see about 100 customers on Sundays compared to 300 during the season.  Monday nights they usually reach maximum capacity.

"We always come here, all the family and friends come to Jack-sons they support Seahawks," says Abraham Diaz, customer.

"You'll have people cheering on all corners of the bar whether it's here in the dining room, up at the bar, or in the pool room while they're playing their games over there," Kristian Chavez, bartender.

KNDU also posted a Facebook question asking where you watch the games.
Jennifer Mangum says she watches at home while lounging in her king size bed.
Rick Cates says he watches at home while cheering on the Seahawks.

KNDU also spoke with the Jacksons Sports Bar in Richland and they say they are also seeing big business.
