One team that can certainly use some rest would be the Tri-City Americans. All three games this past week ending in dramatic fashion. Each went to a shoot out. Ams won two of those three games. Last night, against Prince George, Tri-Ccity fell 4-3 in a shoot out loss.
A tough way to end an exhausting week that required plenty of overtime. Not to mention a long month in which the Americans played 11 road games.
Head coach Jim Hiller said, "If you take the totality of the month and just the real randomness of the shoot outs. I mean there isn't a lot of rhyme or reason to it. When you win you're dancing around like you're world beaters. When you lose you think it's the end of the world. So we have to keep that in the proper context. We've really thought about our whole entire month... The adversity that we've gone through... The road trips which have been tough, and we thought we got some great efforts from a lot of players and we're pretty satisfied with the way the month went with respect to effort."
