GRANGER, Wash-- A Granger man was stabbed to death in front of a home Friday night. It happened on the 100 block of West First Avenue in Granger at about 6:50.
The Yakima Sheriff's Office reports that the Granger Police arrived on the scene to find 48-year-old Leonardo Cantu with multiple stab wounds. Cantu was transported to Toppenish Community Hospital where he later died.
According to the Sheriff's Office, family members say Cantu had been outside the house smoking. After being gone for a while he showed up bleeding from stab wounds. They report that Cantu was seen in the company of a 19 year-old-male before he was stabbed. Law enforcement found the 19-year-old and arrested him.
This is the 23rd homicide for Yakima County this year.
