Central Washington kept control of its own fate in winning another GNAC conference championship, with a 34-7 win at home Saturday against Simon Fraser. One of the key contributors in the win would be senior running back Bryson Kelly. Whom returned to playing for the first time in a month after battling a knee injury.
Kelly in his return game carried the ball 16 times for 110 yards and one touchdown. Here is what Kelly said after the game:
"It felt good, because these past few weeks I've been trying to run and I couldn't really get in gear. This last week with the bye week it got me ready to go, and I could run. So it was good. Our O-line just puts a great push every week... You know what I mean? Simon Fraser you know up front... They can't really mess with our hog mollies. So we keep pushing and keep going."
