Robertson and Langlow Named Players of the Week

SPOKANE, Wash. (Nov. 8) -- Central Washington University sophomore Ryan Robertson (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake HS) and redshirt freshman Stan Langlow (University Place, Wash./Curtis HS) have been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Robertson, the Wildcats' quarterback, completed 12 of 16 passes for 211 yards and one touchdown in the most efficient passing day of his career. He also surpassed the 3,000-yard passing plateau for his career during Saturday's 34-7 victory over Simon Fraser University at Tomlinson Stadium.

Langlow, meanwhile, became the fourth different Wildcat defender to earn top defensive player honors from the conference this season. The safety became the first CWU player in 40 years to intercept three passes in the same game, helping spearhead a Wildcat defense that totaled six interceptions and seven takeaways. Langlow, who now has a team- and conference-high seven interceptions this season, logged 75 yards in returns against the Clan.

Central Washington locked up at least a tie for the GNAC title with its Saturday win, and opened up a one-game lead in the conference standings entering this weekend's season finale. The Wildcats, 7-3 overall and 6-1 in the GNAC, can clinch the outright conference championship with a win over second-place Western Oregon (7-3, 5-2 GNAC) on Saturday (Nov. 13) at Tomlinson Stadium.
