MATTAWA, Wash. -- An Idaho man was killed when his semi truck rolled and crashed into the Columbia River, late Monday night.
According to a release sent out by the Washington State Patrol, Albert Gumm, 45, of Nampa, Idaho was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. on State Route 243, about four miles north of Mattawa.
Troopers state Gumm was traveling northbound on the highway when he lost control of his truck, causing it to roll down the embankment and into the Columbia River.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
