New Harley-Davidson store brings jobs and motorcycle options
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The new Harley- Davidson dealership will be opening in Kennewick next week and the new business will bring jobs and options for motorcycle buyers.
RideNow Powersports is set to open up there first location in Southeastern Washington, on 19th avenue and highway 395 in Kennewick.
The business which is replacing Shumate motorsports will be hiring 35 employees, including some former Shumate workers, staff from the companies Arizona locations, and some new faces.
The Tempe, Arizona based business says they're excited about coming to the Tri-Cities, "It's a huge motorcycle community, the unemployment is low, they weren't hit with the recession like the rest of the country was hit. The housing is stable, it's a stable market up here. It's just a good time to come up here and have some fun," says sales manager Keith Adair.
A big issue on the minds of former Shumate customers is warranties. According to Adair, the company will still honor the existing warranties of customers who own Harley-Davidson and Honda.
He also says there are other brands that will come to the dealership in the next week or so. The new harley shop will open next week on November 16th.
