UNION GAP, Wash. -- Union Gap Police are investigating a case involving a missing Yakima man who has not been seen for more than a month.
Union Gap police are looking for any information to try and find 23-year old Michael Sterling.
Sterling has a tattoo on both of his biceps. One is of a cross with the word "strength". The other is a tribal tattoo with barbed wire going through it. He also has a small scar on his nose.
KNDO spoke to Sterling's mother, Becky Kochie, on Friday. She says her son was last seen leaving his parents' house in Union Gap on September 28th. Kochie says Michael is very close to his family and friends, and say it is very unusual for him to not stay in touch with any of them.
Kochie says, "We just don't have any idea. So far, the police don't have any idea. They've checked his bank accounts...he hasn't touched them. He hasn't shown up for work."
So far detectives say they do not have any leads on this missing person's case. They do not suspect foul play is involved. If you have any information on Michael Sterling or where he may be, call Union Gap Police at (509) 248-0430.
