Central Washington Football: Langlow Named Co-Freshman of Year
ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Central Head Coach Blaine Bennett is praising this year's Wildcats for winning a conference championship, despite the fact that the team won't be in the playoffs.
He is also pretty happy about redshirt freshman and safety Stan Langlow, who is the GNAC Co-Freshman of the Year. Langlow finished with 7 interceptions, tied for 3rd most in D-II Football.
Coach Bennett likes what he sees.
"Stan Langlow is a great example of that redshirt freshman class," said Bennett. "This is their 2nd year in our program and those guys are playing a lot of football. They're talented enough to win conference championships with. Stan is just a great student-athlete and we're excited to have one of those guys from the state of Washington that will play a lot of football here and with him we'll win a lot of football games and conference championships."
