KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Cascade Natural Gas has brought some new jobs and new people into the Tri-Cities.
The company had a ribbon cutting at their new corporate headquarters in Kennewick Thursday. 25 employees followed Cascade Natural Gas from Seattle and will be making the Tri-Cities their home.
20 other employees were hired locally and there are still some positions left to be filled. Leaders of the company and the community seemed equally pleased with the move.
"I feel strongly that we needed to get into a community where we serve ourselves," says CEO Dave Goodin of the MDU Resources Utility Group.
"We as a city want to make sure you're happy here, and I can tell you from experience. I've been here 23 years; its addictive. You won't ever want to leave," says Mayor Steve Young.
CEO Dave Goodin said he was excited about growing the headquarters in Kennewick and Mayor Young named Cascade Natural Gas the Business of the Day.
