KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Just call him the playmaker, the difference maker, or captain clutch. Any name will do for Kamiakin Braves return man, Tim White.
The senior ranks first in kick and punt return yardage in the Big 9 3A ranks. This season he's returned 7 punts or kicks for touchdowns.
White's ability extends to the offensive side of the ball, earning him the Big 9 3A Offensive Player of the Year award.
Come Saturday against Mount Spokane in the state quarterfinals, expect White to be the x-factor.
"I'm glad he's on our team," said Kamiakin Head Coach Scott Biglin. "He makes me look good a lot with our play calls because he's able to do what he does."
"A punt return or kick return is probably the best part of football for me," said White. "It used to be reciever and this year I just hit a good spot with this return thing. I like it a lot. I see open holes and I just take them and my teammates block for me."
Remember, kickoff on Saturday with Mount Spokane at 1pm. You can watch the game on SWX at 4pm.
