Hobby Lobby breaks record sales it's opening week

KENNEWICK, Wash. --  Hobby Lobby opened it's doors for the second week in Kennewick.  It is store number 457 for the corporation and the manger Matt Lee says it's breaking records since opening last Friday. "we just got word this morning, that with a decent day today we will set hobby lobby's all time sales record for opening week," says Lee.  Lee says they've hired 70 people.

The Canal Drive store is located right between two competing stores, Michael's and Craft Warehouse.  Shoppers however say they are not worried the competition will hurt any of the businesses.  "I think the other stores have things to offer too, but this does have it all in one stop shopping.  I hope that Michael's and Joann and craft warehouse will remain," says Jan Hildenbrand a regular shopper at craft stores.

"I think the other stores have things to offer too, but this does have it all in one stop shopping.  I hope that Michael's and Joann and craft warehouse will remain," says Colleen Mathison another shopper.  Mathison says Hobby Lobby also sells art and is more organized, but other stores have unique items shoppers will still seek.
