PASCO, Wash., --Three local high schools showed off their political knowledge in a "We The People, The Citizens and the Constitution" competition of the 4th District. Local community leaders, judges, lawyers and volunteers as well as parents gathered at the Franklin County Court house Saturday morning to test and cheer on the students. River's Edge placed first, Kennewick High School came in second and New Horizon High School placed third.

Ethan Turnipseed, a senior at River's Edge was complimented by Judge Swisher for his vast knowledge on the US Constitution and applying it to real life political examples.  "What it does for my school is, it educates the students in the matters of their government which most people don't even know today.  Which I find is a very good thing.  Another thing it does for the school is it just brings a sense of team work, a sense of togetherness," says Turnipseed.
