RICHLAND, Wash.-A check large enough to provide 100 women with early breast cancer detection services, was dropped off at the Kadlec Regional Medical Center Wednesday.
The Benton-Franklin Rodeo raised $35,000 to be split between Kadlec, Lordes and KGH. The money will help women without insurance get mammograms.
Over 120 different diagnoses of breast cancer are made in this area each year. Far too many women are not being serviced," says Kadlec Radiologist Dr. Steven Weighall.
Over the last five years the rodeo has raised about $90,000 for early detection services.
