BSU big game day in Prosser, Princess Theater showing the gamePosted: Updated:
PROSSER, Wash. -- Many Prosser residents will be glued to their TV sets watching the Boise State Broncos take on the University of Nevada Wolf Pack.
The Princess Theater will be opening it's doors and lending it's big screen for the game starting at 6:45pm for the 7:15pm game. "We're doing it because Kellen and Kirby Moore are from Prosser and we're very proud of them. If they win this one, they should leap frog TCU, says Richard James, the Executive Director of the Theater.
The Princess theater is great place to take your family. "We don't have any alcohol there...so bring your kids, bring everybody, we have the concession stand open...we have pop-corn, we're selling slices of pizza," says James.
Local bar, like the Horse Heaven Hills Brewery and the Burns Tavern will also be playing the ESPN game. "When we're hosting the game, we'll get 50-60 people here, tonight I suspect at least 30 to show because of the weather and holiday," says Gary Vegar, the owner and brewer at Horse Heaven Hills.
A big football fan, Julie Trumble says, "It's really exciting, we're going to be doing a lot of yelling tonight."
Valley Theater Company, which manages the Princess Theater is conducting a raffle that includes two tickets to the Bronco's final home game and a grand prize. The grand prize will be a roundtrip airfare for two, two nights accommodations and two tickets to the bowl game that BSU plays in Oregon. Or the winner can opt to take a $1,000 cash prize. The raffle tickets are $10.
You can get them at Becky's Coffee Corner, Horse Heaven Hills Brewery, Prosser Chamber of Commerce, Princess Theater events, Sixth Street Art Gallery, Whitstran Brewing Company, all in Prosser, Cheese Louise in Richland.
