Columbia Center Mall gets coat check-ins for good cause
KENNEWICK, Wash. --The Columbia Center Mall is offering a new service this holiday season, coat check-ins for shoppers. Besides convenience for, it also gives back to the community. Each donation goes to the International Order of The Rainbow For Girls, a community service group for girls between 11 and 20 years old.
Some of the money also goes to the Simon Kids Foundation. "It was just an idea and it turned out the mall has been searching for someone that would be interested in doing it and this worked out," says Becky Lamastus.
The program runs on donations and is available until Christmas.
KENNEWICK, Wash -- A new restaurant in Kennewick ran a practice round this weekend before opening it's doors next week. Bob's Burgers and Brew had it's soft opening Friday and Saturday. A few lucky people who received invites got to taste the food and experience the service for free.
"It's almost like we've been doing this for quite some time. Almost everyone that I've talked to has just raved about our service and food...Everyone is so excited with what we're bringing to the community here, and have been pleased over the last couple of nights because it's been almost exactly what they've expected," says Ron Marasco, the General Manager at Bob's Burgers and Brew.
