KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The pucks are finally starting to bounce the Tri-City Americans way. The Ams have won their last 2 and face Medicine Hat Wednesday at the Toyota Center.

The Ams players say this is a more relaxed team than the one that lost 6 of 7 before last weekend.

Coach Jim Hiller says it also helps that Captain Kruise Reddick and Brendan Shinnimin are back at full speed.

All those pieces combined to make it a great weekend for the Americans.

"I think it really felt like a playoff type atmosphere if you can call it that even though we're only in November," said Hiller. "We have played arguably the best team from the East and by statistics the best team from the West. It was a really hard challenge and we rose to the challenge and just really competed hard."

"We're coming to the rink and just having fun now," said Forward Brendan Shinnimin. "We are not really focusing on outside things, just focus on playing as a team and having fun and working as a team. I think it's worked pretty well."
