Near DAYTON, Wash. - Ski Bluewood opened their runs Friday and it's one of the best opening days in years. In fact, the mountain has a base of 38 inches.
About 200 people showed up to the resort and many of them say the slopes are perfect for riding.
"The slopes are really good. The fresh powder is fun. It's pretty moist out here and it pretty fun if you're wanting to do something," said Dillin Stiffler, a snowboarder.
"It is amazing. This is my 10th year working and snow boarding at Bluewood and it's the best opening day we've had," said Darius Fleck, snowboard instructor.
Ski Bluewood expects to have a busy weekend with people coming from all over the area.
