RICHLAND, Wash.- Students from Richland High School "took over" Safeway Thursday.
30 marketing students shadowed Safeway employees to get some real world experience. They were given the chance to work in all departments; learning about customer service, management and leadership skills.
"I could use my skills that I would learn from managing a store like Safeway and jump off into a Microsoft type company or running your own company," says Richland High Freshman Marcus Deranleau.
The students were members of the DECA program, a group dedicated to giving them experience outside the classroom.
