KENNEWICK, Wash.- One radio DJ is roughing it for a good cause.
The Eagle's morning show host, Jaxon, has been "living it up" for the last nine days.
He's been camping out on top of a 25 by 25 foot platform, and promoting the Eagle's first annual toy drive.
High winds this morning knocked over his tent and took out his power, but he was able to get everything up and running before show-time.
Jaxon says getting children presents to open on Christmas helps him brave the elements.
"The tent I'm sitting under now was blowing off. So all night my engineer Garret and I were holding it down for about 4 hrs," says Jaxon.
Jerry Reyes dropped off some toys, and says he remembers not having a lot of presents to open growing up.
"It's crazy, you got to give it up for the guy. Just to participate and get a couple of toys it means a lot. It sure means a lot to my family and I."
Jaxon will be camping out and accepting donations in the parking lot of Ranch & Home in Kennewick for the next four days.
