KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Southridge area in Kennewick is back to normal after a report of a suspicious package found at Southridge High School.
KPD officers a staff member found the suspicious package at 2:50 Friday afternoon. Officers found a plastic soda bottle containing an unknown liquid and tin foil tightly wrapped into small balls.
The area was put on lock down until the Richland Bomb Squad arrived. They say it doesn't appear there were any explosive materials in the bottle. They think the device had been there for several weeks, but went unnoticed because of the snow.
