KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Asante Children's Choir stopped by our station Wednesday for a preview of this weekend's performance.
The group is made up of 24 children who began their journey by auditioning in Rwanda.
Many children in the country have been orphaned by genocide and disease. However, the choir's tour leader says their message is one of optimism for the future, and gratitude for the kindness people have shown them.
@"The love and support the people have been showing them all this time. They're saying thank you on behalf of their brothers and sisters way back home, and they are simply saying change is possible," says Tour Leader Henry Tumwesigye
@The choir will be one of many performances at the "Home for Christmas" concert at the Toyota Center this weekend. It starts at 7 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
