KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Even more children are going to be kept warm this holiday season because more than 200 coats were donated to Coats for Kids program on Friday.
The Richland Rotary Club bought the coats using funds raised at rotary events. This is the third year the organization has participated in the Coats for Kids. Program.
Shelly Horton said, "we just look for where the need is and go after that. The rotary, their intention is to provide assistance where its needed."
Rotary members presented a check of $1,000 to the Richland Wal-Mart. The store partnered with the organization by putting a discounting on the coats.
