A hero welcome at Tri-Cities Airport

PASCO, Wash. -- It was a heart-warming homecoming at the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco. The ACES organization, families, friends and strangers welcomed home Two US Marines and a young woman from the US Air Force, home for the holidays.

All three just happened to be on the same flight in from Seattle.

20 year old US Marine Jeff Downen was greeted by grandparents, parents and 11 of his brothers and sisters.  He's been on the battle field in Afghanistan for the last seven months.

"My welcome was actually very impressive, I didn't think it was going to be that big.  It caught me off guard. I only thought my family and two of my friends were going to be here.  It was actually quite a few people,"says Downen.  He is going to be home for the next 23 days.

KC Howell is stationed at the Pendleton Base in California and is home until January 2.  He was overwhelmed by the welcome as well.  "It was pretty amazing, I definitely wasn't expecting it," says Howell.

Kylee Hines is stationed in Boston and she's home for two weeks as well.
