RICHLAND, Wash --Graduating students at the New Horizon School of Massage in Richland decided to put together a fundraiser instead of have a graduation party Saturday.
They collected donations of new toys, coats, food and money instead. Many kids got a picture taken with Izzy the Camel who was also there for the good cause.
"These are my students, they've graduated and this is kind of their celebration. Instead of having a great big party, which we'll do later, they wanted to have a fundraiser. They wanted to give back to the community, I'm so proud of them," says Laura Hansen the owner and one of the instructors of New Horizon School of Massage.
The fundraiser managed to raise $400, 500 items of food, 50 new toys and more than 100 gloves, hats and scarves.
