YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police are looking for a male suspect accused of shooting a man in the hip after he refused to give up his vehicle.

Officers responded to the 600 block of North 1st Street, just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police say the suspect approached the victim's vehicle and demanded his vehicle.

When the man refused, police say that's when the suspect shot him.

The suspect was described wearing a black sweater, but police did not have any further details about the suspect at this time. Police also say they were unable to locate the weapon.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200.
