Yakima homicide suspect gets $1 million bail

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The man suspected of murdering a 21-year-old man earlier this month made a preliminary appearance in court Monday for charges of first-degree murder, bail was set at $1 million.

Looney, 20, was arrested Thursday after Yakima Police found the body Gary Snell, Jr. inside a home on the 2200 block of Butterfield Road in Terrace Heights.

Snell was last seen near the Pizza Hut on N. 40th Ave. on Dec. 4, according to earlier police reports.

Looney's next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 10.
