KENNEWICK, Wash.- Kennewick police say they have arrested the man suspected of robbing a Sterling Savings Bank in Kennewick Monday afternoon.
A KPD employee and a Department of Corrections case worker were able to identify the suspect as 22 year old John Walker of Kennewick. Police say pictures from the bank's high quality security cameras were instrumental in catching him.
"We've had a lot of robberies in the past where we try to look at security video and it's just such poor quality. This is an instance where that investment, that capital improvement in that bank paid off. Within hours it paid off," says Sgt. Ken Lattin of the Kennewick Police Department.
Police found walker at a home in Spokane late last night, after talking with his family and friends. Kennewick police officers drove to Spokane this morning to arrest him for the bank robbery.
