Kennewick City Council to decide on City Manager position
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- City Council members will decide Tuesday whether Kennewick Interim City Manager, Marie Mosley will permanently keep her job. The other option is start the hiring process for someone to fill her shoes.
Mosley has been serving as the Interim City Manager since September when Bob Hammond retired.
Mayor Steve Young says there is a committee working on it, and everything should be resolved at the City Council Meeting.
"Mayor Pro-Tem Sharon Brown and I are working with a couple of staff members and we have developed a process for interviewing new candidates for permanent city manager position. In addition to that tonight, there's a second resolution that's been added to make the city interim manager Marie Mosley the permanent city manager," says Young.
If they decide to keep Mosley as the permanent City Manager, she needs four yes votes from council members.
