YAKIMA, Wash- At Tuesday's city council meeting, Yakima said goodbye to two high ranking leaders. Police Chief Sam Granato and Assistant City Manager Dave Zabell were honored.
Granato's last day was Saturday. He faced a lot of controversy during his seven years as Chief. However he says he enjoyed his time with the department and is proud of his work.
"The passage of the legislation on felony lauding the System that coming online and getting that done. And that gang unit. I think those are the top three things that I am most proud of ", says Granato.
Granato plans to eventually move back to Texas. Dave Zabell's last day is Friday. He is leaving to take a city manager position in Fife.
