Two-car accident on Hanford Site

HANFORD, Wash. - Four people were injured in a car crash on the Hanford site Wednesday morning.

Washington State Patrol Troopers say two cars collided at the intersection of State Route 225 and State Route 240, in the 200 West area. They say 25 year old Richard Austin turning onto westbound 240 from SR 225, but failed to yield to an oncoming car.

Austin, from Benton City,  crashed into 54 year old David Bartand of Beverly, Washington. Austin, Bartand and three other passengers in Bartand's car including two children, ages 14 and 12 were injured and taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. One person had to be extricated by firefighters.
