McNary Wildlife Refuge offers bird's eye view of bald eagles
Burbank, WA-If you have an eagle eye, or an eye for eagles, you may want to check out the McNary National Wildlife Refuge Saturday morning.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife invites you to a nature walk to see the bald eagles spending the winter at the refuge.
"They like fish and waterfowl for food so there's a pretty good supply of those along the Columbia River in the winter," says Jeff Howland, deputy project leader. "We get a pretty good wintering population here most years."
If you'd like to join the free nature walk, meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the refuge's Education Center, located on Lake Road, just past Hood Park off Highway 12 in Burbank.
