YAKIMA, Wash. -- A burn ban issued for upper and lower Yakima County has been lifted due to improved air quality conditions.
The burn ban was issued last week by the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency over stagnant air conditions in the area.
Agricultural and outdoor burning is prohibited. No residential burning is allowed from October 15 through March 15.
For information on continuing air quality conditions, agricultural burn allocations, and burn ban status, you can check the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency website at: http://www.yakimacleanair.org or call the YRCAA office at: (509) 834-2050.
