YAKIMA, Wash. -- The man accused of killing a 21-year-old Yakima man last month appeared in court Monday.

Sebastian Looney was formally charged with first-degree murder in Yakima County Superior Court.

Looney is accused of killing Gary Snell, Jr. and hiding his body at a home on Butterfield Rd. in Terrace Heights.

After receiving a tip on December 23, 2010, detectives found Snell's body underneath a back porch of the home. Police arrested 20-year-old Looney and booked him into the Yakima County jail.

Detectives believe Snell had been shot several times. He had been missing since December 4.

Looney's trial is scheduled to begin February 22. His bail remains at $1-million.
