PASCO, WA- A man facing up to one year in jail failed to show up to court Wednesday for his sentencing.
A Franklin County jury convicted Neftali Camacho in November of trying to lure young boys to his home.
Camacho has been out on bail.
Prosecutors Wednesday asked the judge to issue an arrest warrant, but Carrie Runge granted a week continuance while the public defender make contact with the man and convince him to make his next scheduled court date.
During the trial, two boys testified Camacho approached them at the Rite Aid in Pasco and wanted them to come to his house and watch videos.
Camacho says he wanted to show the boys Christian-based movies.
Camacho briefly acted as his own attorney, but after the first day of testimony Camacho asked for a public defender to take over.
