State Patrol Trooper involved in car accident in snow

PASCO, Wash.--  Snowy conditions led to a few crashes Wednesday morning, including one involving a Washington State Patrol Trooper.

WSP says Trooper Brian Ball was investigating another accident when his car was hit from behind by another driver.   Troopers say the driver was going Westbound on Interstate-182 and trying to get off on the Road 68 exit when she spun out of control and slammed into the Trooper's car while he was inside it.

Lt. Roger Wilbur responded to find one of his own in the wreck.  Lt. Wilbur says, "It's never a good scenario if we're involved in the collisions, because that hampers our ability to provide the kind of service we need to provide to the community.  We do everything we can to prevent these kind of things from happening, but sometimes stuff like this happens."

Troopers say the woman was not hurt in the crash. Trooper Ball was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
