KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A Benton County judge has sided with prosecutors over statements former Prosser Mayor Linda Lusk made to detectives.
Defense Attorney Scott Johnson wanted the statements about her child molestation case thrown out because Lusk believed they would reduce the charges.
During the hearing, both the defense and prosecution challenged the language in the transcript. However, Lusk's attorney requested a delay of the trial so a witness could testify on Lusk's behalf.
A decision most likely will come in a private session with the judge Thursday.
